She’s a 2007 Volkswagen GTI with a 6-Speed manual, and will serve as my car for college. So far I haven’t been able to do much with it as I’ve been very busy but initial impressions are good.

She’s got some miles, but the service records are all in line and it’s a helluva lot of car for the money. It’s plenty fast for my dumbass and I’m fairly sure it’ll soon have an intake and a tune to make it even plenty-er.

For now, here’s some pictures. Expect more on this car in the near future.

I broke a 11 year record of not having a tantrum over this. Got to take it back with me halfway through first semester.

Used the argument that I’m not making friends (sadly very true, even now) and that having a car would be guaranteed friends.

I have a mk6 tdi. Basically the same chassis. It's a great car and yours looks very clean! It should definitely help you make friends. Just make sure they don't just want you for your car!

I test drove one of these at the opposite quadrant (4dr DSG). I kind of liked it but not enough to give up stickshift. I hope you don’t have any engine problems with it, it’s got some issues. Enjoy it though.

Plaid VW is best VW! I never liked the Mk5 exterior, but by most accounts it’s one of the better generations in terms of engineering. Congrats!
